Rush hour disrupted after south London derailment
Train services through south London are disrupted this morning after yesterday’s derailment of a Southern train outside Selhurst depot.
The train was not carrying passengers and no one is reported to have been injured, and the cause of the derailment has not been revealed.
The incident was made worse by a failure affecting track circuits between Norwood Junction and London Bridge.
The train has now been rerailed and the track repaired, but some signalling equipment at the scene was also damaged, while many trains were left out of position last night.
It is hoped that services will get back to normal later this morning.
