More Railway 200 train tour dates announced

The dates for the next 16 visits by the Railway 200 exhibition train up to mid-March have been announced.

The train, ‘Inspiration’, started its journey on 27 June at Kidderminster, and has since been to various places, including several in Scotland.

The new list takes the train to stations in the north west and south east, outside London.

Railway 200 programme manager Emma Roberts said: ‘Inspiration is a fun, free and fascinating way to learn about the past, present and future of rail. There’s something for everyone, whether you’re a rail enthusiast or simply curious about a British innovation that changed the world.

‘Inspiration is heading to so many fantastic places in 2026 – we can’t wait to welcome you aboard.’

Preston (Ribble Steam Railway) 6-9 Jan. 

Southport 10-13 Jan.

Crewe 15-19 Jan.

Bury (East Lancashire Railway) 21-24 Jan. 

Upminster 26-30 Jan. 

Cambridge 31 Jan.-1 Feb. 

Colchester 3-4 Feb. 

Clacton-on-Sea 5-6 Feb. 

Hertford East 7-8 Feb. 

Swanage (Swanage Railway) 16-18 Feb.

Winchester (The Watercress Line) 19-20 Feb.

Salisbury 21-23 Feb.

Kingston 25-26 Feb. 

Worthing 27-28 Feb.
