TfL apologises to trapped Underground passengers

Transport for London has apologised to passengers who were trapped on a stalled Jubilee Line train for three hours on Monday evening.
The failure occurred during the evening rush hour between Waterloo and Westminster, and passengers were eventually evacuated through the tunnel once the conductor rails had been isolated.
It was reported that an engineer had arrived who tried to move the northbound train. However, although the train did start to move it then stalled again.
All passengers were unharmed and were evacuated safely, but problems continued for a while on Tuesday morning, with no trains running for a while between London Bridge and Green Park.
It is believed a second train was also involved, but the exact nature of the fault has not been revealed.
TfL said: ‘We apologise to Jubilee line customers who were held on a faulty train yesterday evening and to those customers whose journeys have been disrupted by this incident, which involved the incident train and an additional faulty train.’
