Bridge problems block Warwickshire railway
ONE of the lines to Stratford-upon-Avon has been closed after a bridge on the route from Birmingham via Henley-in-Arden was found to be damaged.
Network Rail said there could be no train services for the time being at Wootton Wawen, Henley-in-Arden, Danzey, Wood End, The Lakes, Earlswood, or Whythall. Replacement buses are running, while trains are still running between Birmingham and Stratford-upon-Avon via Dorridge.
West Midlands Railway said Network Rail has sent specialist teams to the site, but the repairs will need new steel components and are not expected to be completed until later today at the earliest.

Why is it with drivers driving large vehicles not seeing the hazard signs. Why is there so many bridge strikes happening too often. Can’t these drivers choose to avoid low bridges and use diversion routes.
