HS2 offers hundreds of new jobs

HUNDREDS of jobs are being created at HS2 Ltd as construction work on Phase 1 continues to be stepped up. The jobs include engineering, project management, land, property, procurement and various commercial posts. More than 300 of the new jobs will be based in Birmingham. HS2 Ltd CEO Mark Thurston said: ‘With many people facing uncertain job security and worried about future prospects in the current crisis, I hope this will be welcome news for anyone seeking a long-term and rewarding career with a company that places health, safety, equality and diversity at the very top of its priority list.’ HS2 Ltd said the latest batch of jobs would bring its total workforce to more than 10,000.

    LNWR George the Fifth Steam Locomotive Trust wishes HS2 Ltd. every success, particularly through its creation of jobs in Birmingham. Our new build steam locomotive to the 1910 design worked Birmingham to London expresses and was the HS1 of its day!
