BOMBARDIER Transportation has received a 75 million euros order from leasing company Railpool for 45 160km/h double-deck coaches for regional and suburban service on DSB, the Danish State Railways. The fleet will complement 67 similar coaches running successfully in Denmark since 2002.

Providing significantly increased capacity, the air-conditioned coaches feature multi-purpose areas for bicycles, push chairs and wheelchairs, sealed toilet discharge and vending machines in a number of intermediate vehicles.

Body production, final assembly and testing will be completed in Gorlitz, Germany, and all 45 coaches will be delivered between September and December of next year.
