New Members For TFL Board

Paralympic gold medal winner and former world record holder Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson who brings first-hand experience on the use of public transport by those with mobility problems.
MAYOR of London Boris Johnson has made further appointments to the Transport for London board and has reappointed seven previous board members.
Among six new members joining the board is Paralympic gold medal winner and former world record holder Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson who brings first-hand experience on the use of public transport by those with mobility problems.
The other new appointees bringing a wealth of knowledge are Bob Oddy, Steve Wright, Keith Williams and Charles Belcher, former managing director of Virgin West Coast. They include representatives of the taxi and private hire industries, and Daniel Moylan, chairman of the London Council’s Transport and Environment Committee has been appointed to strengthen links with the capital’s boroughs.
Board members previously appointed by the Mayor are Tim Parker, Kulveer Ranger and Stephen Norris, and reappointed are Christopher Garnett, Tony West, Eval Lindholm, Mike Hodgkinson, Patrick O’Keeffe, Judith hunt and Peter Anderson.
Christopher Garnett, formerly chief executive of GNER, has been nominated by the Mayor to be deputy chairman, subject to confirmation by the London Assembly, and Mike Hodgkinson and Charles Belcher will represent interests of people in areas outside Greater London served by TfL.
Mr Johnson said:”I am thrilled that we have assembled a board of quite staggering expertise, full of ideas, enthusiasm and energy. The opinions of eight million experts on getting around London who live in our city will be crucial in helping us to provide a safe, and easy to use transport system.”
