THE Go-ahead Group is on track to reduce energy consumption across its 450 sites by 15 per cent after enlisting the help of energy data management specialist IMServ.

Operating rail, bus, car parking and aviation support services throughout the country, its sites range from a 32-acre train maintenance depot to small ticket offices, and it now receives accurate energy information and intelligence through web-based Energy DataVision.

Energy consumption from all its registered half-hourly monitored sites can now be readily viewed, and by installing smart meters and renegotiating supply tariffs, some £300,000 was saved last year.

Go-ahead now has access to energy data for 70 per cent of rail division consumption and 90 per cent within its bus division.
