Tyne and Wear Metro workers vote to strike

RMT members working for Tyne and Wear Metro have voted in favour of industrial action – including possible strikes – in a dispute over pay.

The union's general secretary Bob Crow said his members had given a 'resounding no' to a pay offer worth 1.3 per cent. The RMT executive will now consider what action to take following the ballot.
