The L.&.N.W.R. operated trains into Oxford along its route from Cambridge via Bletchley until rationalisation caused closure of their station, alongside that of the G.W.R. and its eventual relocation to Quainton Road.

Often overlooked, but the LNWR also served Oxford. From their station almost alongside the better-known GWR station the served Bletchley and destination to the east, while their goods yards served the LNWR system generally.
