Balfour Beatty currently has opportunities for Driver Operator Maintainers to join our Rail Plant team based across the South East and Anglia to carry out the operation of specialist plant working on the Network Rail Infrastructure.
Offering a competitive package with excellent overtime opportunities, this role would suit a qualified Train Driver with Route Knowledge and Mechanical experience.

In this varied and interesting role you will work to improve the Track Geometry of the track design, using our extensive On Track Machine (OTM) Fleet. This will range from Plain Line Services and Switch and Crossing (S&C) units. This, together with our capabilities involving tracklayers, cranes, ballast regulators and dynamic track stabilisers means we can provide a complete track geometry service UK wide.

Operating one of the most modern tamper fleets in the UK, our fleet includes Matisa B41, B66, Plasser Unimats and Compact tampers. Along with our expert operators and support staff, these machines ensure outstanding track quality for all our customers. Supplying on-track machinery, including tampers, to maintain and align track on the South East, Anglia and Wessex routes for over 25 years to some of the most densely used rail networks by the public in the UK, travelling or commuting in and out of London on a daily basis, we ensure the track is expertly aligned to ensure smooth and efficient journeys for all passengers.

To be successful in this role you will need to be flexible, able to work to a shift rota, including days and nights. You will be a qualified Train Driver with the willingness to learn On Track Plant.
