Starting Salary £55,500 With up to 10% Company/Personal Bonus available.

DRS are now looking to recruit for a Regional Operations Delivery Manager based at Gresty Bridge Depot, Crewe.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the Regional management team and all aspects associated with Traincrew and Operational activities.

Key responsibilities of this position will be ensuring that the company strategy goals in both staff and revenue growth are achieved at Regional level and are effectively controlled.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Achieve business goals revenue and profitability objectives through a respectful forward thinking motivational style.

Support the achievements of performance and budgeted targets.

Identify training development and support to ensure operating Management staff demonstrate knowledge of the business model operating procedures and protocols.

Supporting Operational activities in the Region when necessary.

Respond to operational concerns timely and effectively, being accessible and responsive. 

Analyse operations to evaluate performance of each depot in the Region to meet company/departmental objectives and where necessary implement change. 

Provision of On Call commitment.

Ensure provision of suitably qualified Traincrew to deliver company train plans. 

The successful candidate will possess the following, including strong leadership skills:

Education

Knowledge and qualification in a vocational or specialist field short of degree level. For example HNC/HND.

Experience

Demonstrate experience of leading operational team and managing within a Railway Operational Environment.

Experience of managing and controlling financial budgets.

Knowledge

Wide knowledge of Railway operational regulations standards and procedures.

Understanding and knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and good practice.

Knowledge of the Rail & Nuclear Industry.

Good interpersonal and organisational skills with excellent communication skills both written and oral.

Skills

Ability to negotiate, influence and persuade others with the ability to motivate and develop others.

Ability to work under pressure frequently with prolonged application in order to meet deadlines.
