Operations & Safety Training Manager

Location – York

Hours – 37 per week (Perm / Full Time)

Benefits – Excellent package including travel concessions

What’s the role about?


You will work closely with the business to create and design engaging training courses which will equip our people with the skills, knowledge and behaviours to create amazing.  No two days will be the same – as one day you could be developing a training course and the next day you could be delivering a Trainee Driver course.


The right person will already be competent as a Driver for at least 24 months, with thorough operational knowledge and an excellent safety record.  A training qualification will be an advantage but development is available for the right person. Flexibility is essential as travel, overnight stays and occasional weekend work is part of the role.


What do I need to be good at? 


·         Excellent at planning and forward thinking and working collaboratively with the business

·         Able to identify development opportunities yet to be explored which will help our people and business reach our business objectives.

·         Always looking for innovative and creative ways of developing and delivering training courses

·         Designing, developing and delivering Operations and Safety learning solutions as and when required for frontline and management training schemes and initiatives or programmes

·         Evaluating the success of development initiatives using various applications

·         Being self motivated, flexible and thrive on the challenge of developing and influencing your colleagues

·         A great team player and not shy away from challenging how things are done

·         Excellent at networking and seeking best practice for us to keep ahead of the game

·         Excellent communication skills, no matter who you are talking to
