The Driver Team Manager involves all aspects of the day-to- day management of the Driver teams, so you’ll need to be able to lead and inspire your team to ensure we’re providing a red hot service at all times.

Your role will entail responsibility for assessing operational competence, managing the performance of professional train drivers and maintaining driver records to the highest standards to meet the expectations of both internal and external auditors.

Details of level of skills/competence/qualifications required

You should display excellent communication and decision making skills, demonstrate a passion for customer service, be forward thinking and able to drive change to assist the Operations Delivery Manager with the implementation of future driver related schemes.

It is essential that you are highly motivated and self disciplined with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and timescales.

Qualified train driver experience and operational knowledge is essential and you will need a proven track record of operational achievement. City & Guilds A1 Assessor qualifications are preferred, though training to this standard will be available to the successful applicant if necessary.

You will have an on-call commitment and will be responsible for investigating incidents and accidents to establish the root cause and provide recommendations.
