Description
Leighton Contractors is the founding company of Australia’s leading contract mining and construction contracting group, Leighton Holdings (Leighton.com.au). As the leader of the Australian Construction Industry, we currently have before us a significant number of major project prospects
in the State of New South Wales. These projects have values from $150 million to over $1 billion, and will be delivered by a variety of contract delivery methods, but relationship contracting will predominate.
Roadworks projects include upgrades to the Pacific and Hume Highways, and these projects typically include major structures. Rail projects include upgrades to the Sydney passenger network, as well as upgrades to the freight line to the north of Sydney. Rail is operated as a national business, so positions may become available in other parts of Australia or New Zealand in due course.
Common to all positions are the following requirements:
1. Appropriate tertiary qualifications.
2. Significant experience gained on large projects, in the employment of major contractors.
3. A desire to build a career in Australia.
The above position has an attractive salary and conditions package, relocation to Australia on a family basis and visa sponsorship. As indicated above, these are career based, not expatriate positions.
