Our Control Room is a purpose built, state-of-the-art environment and you’ll be responsible for leading the control team, managing all control activities including train running, performance and fleet management.

You’ll play a pivotal role in improving service delivery by proactive monitoring of our services and recovery of the service in the event of incidents.

As part of the train service delivery team you will ensure that line management are continually informed, initiating on call procedures where required. You will manage the team including coaching, mentoring and assessment of staff. You will ensure that the Control Log is maintained to a high standard and that safety information is disseminated to train crew depots as appropriate.

Working closely with colleagues from Network Rail you will need the ability to professionally negotiate joint solutions to problems and must, ideally be qualified in rules and regulations for the operational railway
