Serco Rail Operations is a licensed specialist train operator with a service centre in Derby. Our fleet consists of high speed trains, multiple units, loco hauled trains and five plane line rail grinding machines. This diverse fleet is unique in UK rail operations and is used to deliver a comprehensive rail service to our clients.
We are looking for a number of new people to support our nationwide operation and to join this successful division of the Serco group. 24/7 Three Shift System Working. The role includes monitoring and managing the delivery of train movement plans on a real time basis. This involves close liaison with Network Rail Territory Control offices for track access issues, traincrew and traction sub contractor control. You will collate and resolve track access delay attribution incidents and monitor fault-reporting issues. You will be team spirited, possess good interpersonal skills, and you will be able to work with minimum supervision. You will have the energy, drive and enthusiasm to make an immediate contribution to our business.
Previous experience of freight/infrastructure train operations, including operational incident management would be beneficial, as would excellent knowledge of Network Rail Track Access conditions, ROTR/ROTP, TOPS, Control Room systems and of the National Rail Network.
