Description
If you’re an experienced engineering professional with a sound understanding of Group and Line standards, you could be just the person we’re looking for to support the Project Manager in the construction of multi-disciplinary sites. From a proven railway background, you’ll co ordinate all technical aspects of these construction schemes – ensuring that our acclaimed work remains on track for success.
Now, we’ll look to you to lead and monitor the economic and safe execution of our construction programmes, working in line with Carillion quality and safety procedures to maintain our high standards. Armed with an ONC/HNC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent), your in-depth understanding of P-Way Design (and related standards and
specifications) will stand you in good stead – especially when it comes to liaising with employers’ representatives and sub contractors to answer queries and organise work.
On a day-to-day basis, this role with see you exposed to a wide range of specialist activities, from monitoring progress and quality to identifying and rectifying anomalies.
In order to succeed, you’ll need strong experience of supporting business contracts and functions, not to mention a proven track record in managing a specialist engineering function and a good knowledge of surveying techniques relevant to the work being
carried out.
