2008 is the year of the Customer in Northern Rail. If you have the drive and ambition to make a difference to the travel experience in the North, you could be what we are looking for. You’ll be required to shape, infl uence and deliver results. You will be dealing with all aspects of people management from interviewing through to performance management. As a manager, you will undertake all related assessments on your team of drivers to ensure that safety and business standards are met. A ‘can do’ attitude and approach is essential, whilst putting safety and people at
the heart of your processes. You must have substantial train driving competence and experience of instructing and supervising staff plus the ability to work actively as part of a team whilst supporting fellow team members. This post is safety critical, the successful applicant will be required to meet specific medical requirements and this post will have an on-call commitment.
