Description

LOROL currently has vacancies for two Driver Managers to join our East London Line team, based eventually at New Cross Gate.

Successful applicants will have full driving competence of at least 3 years and ideally be trained to instruct / assess. You will be expected to lead drivers in ensuring operational safety, carry out fitness for duty checks and competence assessments. You will also ensure that drivers are utilised in the most effective and economic manner possible so as to enable the most reliable operation of the train plan on a daily basis. You will contribute to improving train performance and achieving customer satisfaction targets.

The postholder should have good knowledge of traction / Traincrew matters, including conditions of service, rostering practices, disciplinary and bargaining procedures.

The postholder should also be capable of improving levels of driver performance in terms of safety and discipline and to manage effectively staff inter-relationships within Traincrew depots and between depot staff and other members of staff.

Current certification in Personal track safety, rules / regulations competence and knowledge of traction instruction is also required.

This is initially a very diverse role where successful applicants will be required to be very flexible to meet all business needs//requirements to bring the east London Line from its current project phase to an operational railway in 2010.
