Freightliner is the UK’s biggest rail-based intermodal freight transport operator, specialising in maritime and container logistics and distribution. An opportunity has arisen for a Driver Standards Manager with excellent man-management skills to join the team. Your essential skills will be your current train driver competence and some considerable length of driving experience. Knowledge of railway group standards together with rules & regulations is essential to ensure Freightliner remains compliant to its safety case for traincrew operations. You should possess excellent verbal and written skills, ideally hold an A1 Assessors certificate and have experience in accident and incident investigation. Although primarily based at Tilbury there will be the need to work at Ipswich 2 days per week, and also has some on-call requirement and some unsociable hours.
