Description
Our Drivers are at the sharp end of service delivery. We need to understand the issues and challenges they face as they try to ensure that trains arrive on time, every time. That’s why we need managers who work with them to find solutions, support them to acquire new knowledge, and involve them in what we’re working to achieve.
Focused on the highest possible safety and operating standards coupled with timetable delivery, your challenge will be to lead and direct the driver team. Adopting a collaborative and communicative management style, you’ll listen to your drivers, understand their problems, and develop and implement action plans. This will involve implementing local agreements, negotiating changes to working practices, and establishing a leadership style that promotes our vision, values and culture.
In both cases we’re looking for inspirational leaders. You’ll be fully up-to-date with railway crew operating systems and procedures, and ambitious to help us deliver exceptional service to our customers. The Driver Depot Manager will also need NEBOSH qualifications.
