Miss England is just the ticket

Fares fair for Georgia

Fares fair for Georgia

Miss England’s apparel turned out to be just the ticket for a promotion run by National Express East Coast.

Georgia Horsley was at York station in an eye-catching outfit made up of rail tickets.

Diary hears that Georgia, 20, was on hand to launch a new value fares promotion to famous UK destinations.

Alongside the North Yorkshire model was a miniature model of a National Express East Coast train mounted on a three-dimensional map of Britain featuring famous landmarks on the East Coast route.

The tiny train, which was specially made by model railway makers Hornby, is promoting the equally small prices available at www.nationalexpresseastcoast.com.

National Express East Coast spokesman John Gelson said: “We wanted to tell everyone about the miniature prices now available on our website, where all advance bookings attract a ten per cent discount.

“Georgia is a well-known figure in her native North Yorkshire and now across the country as the reigning Miss England – and as someone who travels regularly with National Express East Coast, she already knows that the only small thing about us is our advance purchase fares.”
