Poor weather conditions limit West Coast route services

THE continuing cold weather and snow conditions have forced two of the principal operators on the recently-modernised West Coast Main Line — Virgin Trains and London Midland — to operate restricted services today (Saturday, 7 February).

Details of the revised services are:






VIRGIN TRAINS
Trains on all routes to and from London Euston may be delayed by up to 30 minutes because of speed restrictions having been imposed.  The following changes apply until further notice:

The following trains will not run:
03 minutes past each hour from London Euston to Birmingham New Street
50 minutes past each hour from Birmingham New Street to London Euston
20 minutes past each hour from London Euston to Manchester Piccadilly
15 minutes past each hour from Manchester Piccadilly to London Euston

The following trains will make additional stops:
23 minutes past each hour from London Euston to Wolverhampton will call at Rugby, Milton Keynes Central and Watford Junction
45 minutes past each hour from Wolverhampton to London Euston will call at Rugby and Milton Keynes Central
00 minutes past each hour from London Euston to Manchester Piccadilly will call at Milton Keynes
35 minutes past each hour from Manchester Piccadilly to London Euston will call at Milton Keynes.

LONDON MIDLAND
An hourly service is running between Birmingham New Street and Northampton, departing from Birmingham New Street at 33 minutes past each hour, and from Northampton at 17 minutes past each hour.

A half hourly service is running between Northampton and London Euston, departing from Northampton at 15 & 45 minutes past each hour, and from London Euston at 14 & 44 minutes past each hour

A normal service is running on all other routes.
